Halcyon is 10After10’s fifth album. Following an intense and introspective album titled The Boxer Rebellion, which was nominated as “Album électronique de l’année” at ADISQ in 2021 with over 5,000 copies sold, 10After10’s passionate and revolutionary approach to music, highly influenced by her human rights group, will now experience a slight new approach to her art.
Melancholic melodies and nostalgic vibes have always been her signature and forte. 10After10 now has a lot on her heart and mind, and wanted to explore new musical landscapes through a more Eastern European approach to rhythms and tones. Desiring to go far out from the “Strokes of Life” and “Water Blinks” vibe, having both her feet on solid ground and religiously following all that’s happening around the globe, rhythms will truly be at the epicenter of this new album.
Following a very long isolation process during the pandemic, Halcyon is a journey toward our very own people, tribe, family, almost like looking at ourselves in a mirror during very long hours without moving, not as an individual but as a group of people discovering our true nature, being surrounded and confronted by and to our very own choices.
