Third Single from Raj Ramayya’s Upcoming EP Available Now

Fresh off his performances in Mexico City on January 18 and 19 alongside Akira Yamaoka and The Silent Hill Band, Canadian-Indian songwriter and producer Raj Ramayya unveils his third single, Love Thy Brown Brother, accompanied by a music video. This release serves as a prelude to his forthcoming EP of the same name, set to drop on February 14, 2025.

The track leans into a more psychedelic orientation while retaining the World Music influences showcased in his earlier singles, 1000 Years and One and the Oneness. Co-written by Raj Ramayya and Tatsuya Oe (aka Captain Funk), the song offers an eclectic fusion of world music and electronic beats, combining rhythmic grooves, soulful vocals, and uplifting melodies. Its message of unity and brotherhood resonates deeply in today’s increasingly divided world.

The music video, filmed in Tokyo, highlights the city’s vibrant culture and features a special cameo by legendary anime composer Yoko Kanno, adding both depth and prestige to the production. It also includes excerpts from the Gemini Award-winning documentary Cosmic Current, which chronicles Raj’s family’s journey from immigrating to Canada to their return to India, where they united to face his mother’s illness for the first time.
