Ahead of their forthcoming EP, Secret Societies Rule The World, Prog Magazine-featured “young Halifax post-rockers L.O.E (Last of Eden)” drop their eponymous single today, September 30. The EP is set for release on November 25.
L.O.E’s first EP’s lead single and official music video for the song People Like People Like Them has premiered with WherePostRockDwells and their second single, 1001, featured with prestigious Prog Magazine.
The Fresh On The Net’s BBC Radio 6 acclaimed quartet’s quickly sold out the copies of their limited-edition lathe-cut vinyl, hand-crafted at Hopeful Tragedy Records’ atelier, The Upper Room Studio near Montreal, Canada.
Musically, the new single reaches an almost post-metal touch à la Russian Circles while also displaying, on the other side of the spectrum, a beautiful set of strings and piece of piano which may recall masterminds Japanese pioneers, MONO.
The contrasts are rightfully paired with John F Kennedy’s powerful address to the American Society Of Newspaper Editors in 1961. The full-band instrumentation aims to capture the frustration and aggression that built at the growing disparity amongst us all.
