Wanting to explore a little more than her pervious essay, Cubby V brought in a little more vocals on her second\u00a0album which is taking you into her personal journey of confusion and search for her true self.<\/p>\n
She stays in the vein\u00a0of\u00a0Kraftwerk\u00a0and the soundtrack direction in the likes of Jean-Michel Jarre, which she makes it a little more accessible than experimental this time by bringing some vocals on all of the songs, here in French, there in English and even sometimes mixing both together, which conveys\u00a0the thematic of confusion she’s drowned into.<\/p>\n
The vocals are sometimes in the\u00a0likes of R&B’s\u00a0Canadian pop star The Weeknd but mainly\u00a0in the form of a subtle\u00a0yet\u00a0everlastingly\u00a0hypnotizing\u00a0whisper. “Be” is a track that stands out\u00a0strongly as you may think that Cubby V assumed who she is:\u00a0“I am Cubby V”<\/em>, but then realizes that she’s still looking for recognition:\u00a0“Do you want to be\u00a0mon ami, tu as l’air tr\u00e8s gentil”<\/em>, the chorus\u00a0is the\u00a0answer, as mysterious as it can be, it’s framed in a much more melodic and assumed rap rhythmic: “There’s no getting out of this, you’re\u00a0my queen for eternal bliss”<\/em>.
